POSITION: Pandemic Response Nurse - Contract Opportunity
EXPECTED PAYMENT: $35-$50/hr
HOURS: Approximately 40 hours/week

The towns of Boxford, Middleton, and Topsfield are seeking a Registered Nurse to work with the Tri-Town (Boxford, Middleton, Topsfield) Health and School Departments on a collaborative response to manage and perform nursing services necessary to support the health initiatives of the communities and schools related to the COVID-19 Pandemic and beyond.
General duties include but are not limited to: prevention and control of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases (i.e. influenza) in accordance with state regulations through surveillance, case management, and contact tracing; organization and distribution of vaccines; collaboration with health care providers, community partners, and community health promotion; preparing and implementing emergency response plans; and providing supplemental staffing in the health clinics of the Boxford, Middleton, and Topsfield Public as needed.
This position will serve with high emphasis during the school season to act as a Tri-Town COVID 19 school-public health liaison managing school COVID planning, scenarios, risk communication, and administration between school administration and public health administration. This position will facilitate and participate in Tri-Town Public Health-School Pandemic Response Team related to COVID-19 response.
Electronic recordkeeping using electronic medical records systems and the statewide infectious disease surveillance system (i.e. MAVEN), participation in multiple weekly State and Local Department of Public Health Conference calls, are an important aspect of this position.
• Current R.N. license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
• BSN from an accredited School of Nursing
• Two years of clinical experience in public health nursing, school health, family practice, community health or pediatrics, preferred (not required).
• Provide Personal Liability Insurance Policy and Ability to perform such duties/tasks under his/her own independent business/trade and professional licensure.
Supervision: This contractor will take direction from the Local Health Directors/Agents of the Tri-Town Communities and serve as a liaison to the School Systems within all three communities (Elementary, Middle School, High School).
This is a contract position. Night and weekend work may be required. Funding is from the CARES Act and subject to the provisions therein.
